Street signs for Foothills Estates in Seymour Tn.

I was contacted about relettering the street signs for a Foothills Estates in Seymour Tn. Here is how I did their signs. When I got them they appeared to have been an amateur paint over of professional hand lettering from some years back.

I decided to use my favorite method of restoring old lettering: hand draw the letters, but make them into a vector file, so that they can be shared and preserved; then use a plotter to cut the letters from vinyl paint mask. I'm guessing that these were originally lettered by a sign painter in Sevier County, but I wasn't able to find out who that was. This is just the vector letters, they're not made into a font that your computer can use in the regular way. If it was a font, I would call it Sevier County.
Of course, I only had part of the alphabet to go by, but I think I'm capable of making the missing letters. If you download the alphabet, you'll see various straight and angled bars; these are to keep the letter strokes and and angles consistent. This work was done with Inkscape, the free vector editing software.
